Jodi J. Frank - Town Council
Jodi Frank is excited to represent all the people of Charlestown as a Town Councilor. She has resided here for twelve years and lives in the Burlingame State Forest area of town. Dr. Frank, earned her PhD in Exercise Science (Kinesiology) from the University of Connecticut and has worked and taught in the field for over 25 years. She served on the Charlestown Parks and Recreation Commission for 6 years. While on the commission, she served on the Multi-Use Trails sub-committee, volunteered at the ice skating rink and Harvest Festivals, and became one of the Tree Stewards of the town.
Until the COVID-19 pandemic she had trained and certified our town lifeguards, teaching CPR/First Aid to the Counselors in Training at Camp Ninigret, and providing exercise and wellness classes at the Senior/Community Center. Presently, she is finishing an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and will be a RN in early 2021. She looks forward to combining her love of exercise and caring for people to help improve lives after an accident, surgery, or other life-changing event.
Recently, she served as the Chair of Charlestown Residents United political action committee for the past two years. Jodi has worked to keep residents informed as to what our town government is doing and have a voice in where it is going. She believes strongly that all residents have a right to be heard and will work tirelessly to ensure that will happen. She is an active listener and educator and has a proven record of putting the town and its residents first.
“I am a firm believer in the Golden Rule. I live my life treating people the way I want to be treated. If elected I will make sure everyone in the town will be treated equally regardless of differing viewpoints. I believe that all residents deserve the right to be heard and more importantly listened to fairly and without judgment.”
