Charlestown's Memorial Day Parade Future Depends on New Volunteers

Joseph Dolock leaving on a Honor Flight to Washington, DC in October 2022

At Monday's Town Council meeting, the the Charlestown Memorial Parade received a commendation for 25 years of organizing our parade.

Joseph Dolock spoke at the meeting, about the history of the parade. He also made an appeal for additional volunteers to help. He stated that the parade is in jeopardy unless more volunteers can step up to serve on the committee and organizing the parade.

Mr. Dolock's comments can be watched on the meeting video here, starting around 8 minutes and 45 seconds. He gives some very interesting history and a very compelling appeal for help.

The Westerly Sun wrote about this on June 28, 2023 here.
