In this seasonal time of giving, Charlestown Residents United (CRU), in conjunction with the Charlestown Republican Town Committee (CRTC) and the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee (CDTC), have adopted children from the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to satisfy their Christmas wish lists.
We also collected kitchen and bath items for DCYF to give to families breaking free from abusive and unhealthy relationships.
We packed up all the items over the weekend and delivered them to the DCYF office in Wakefield on Monday morning.
We hope this will help more children and families have peace and joy this holiday season.
