The Charlestown Town Council is having their first meeting of June on Monday, June 12 starting at 7:00 pm.

The Council will discuss the permit and alcohol license for Rhythm & Roots (Sep 1-3) and the alcohol license for the Seafood Festival (Aug 4-6). These should be routine.
The Council will consider whether to allow six combined movie/concert/food truck events in Ninigret Park in July and August, requested by the Parks & Recreation Department.
The Council will continue the official Public Hearings of Ordinance #401 for Cannabis Retail Sales. This is continued from the May 8 meeting because significant changes were discussed in that meeting.
The Council will have a "first reading" of a proposed ordinance on public use of cannabis products. The next step would likely be a public hearing on the ordinance in the next month.
