Narragansett Pow Wow August 13-14


The Narragansett Indian Tribe will be celebrating their 347th recorded Annual August Meeting and POW WOW on Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14, 2022.


Chief Sachem Anthony Dean Stanton invites all local residents and visitors to join the tribe in celebration and share in the traditional food, singing, and dancing.


Activities start with the Grand Entry 1 pm on Saturday and continue until 7 pm, resuming at 12:30 pm on Sunday with another Grand Entry at 2 pm, concluding in the late afternoon.


Bring lawn or camp chairs for seating. No dogs and no alcoholic beverages are allowed.


The Church Board also invites all to share in services at the Tribe's Historic Church. Sunday services will be held at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.


All activities will be held on the Narragansett Indian Reservation off South County Trail and Old Mill Road in Charlestown. In past years, parking has been available at the Narragansett administration building at the corner of South County Trail and Old Mill Road with a shuttle bus to the site. Overflow parking has been available at Charlestown's Town Hall in past years. Gates open at 10 am both days. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children.
