Ray Dreczko, Jr. and his wife Melissa are long-time residents of Charlestown. Their children are products of the local school system and were active participants in local sports programs where Ray assisted in coaching youth baseball.

 

For more than 36 years, Ray has worked at Arnold Lumber Company in sales and management and has been instrumental to Arnold Lumber being a prime sponsor for the annual Town Bonfire on New Year’s Eve in Ninigret Park.

 

Ray has a proven track record of always being there when the Town called. Serving on the Zoning Board of Review for 21 years, Ray reviewed and rendered decisions on numerous applications as part of that important body. He chaired the board for seven years, running the meetings with civility, fairness, and expertise. When called earlier this year, Ray stepped in and ran the 2024 Financial Town Meeting with the skill required to be an effective Town Moderator. Ray has proven he has the ability and demeanor to run fair and efficient meetings.

  

When he isn’t working or volunteering, Ray enjoys gardening, woodworking, and spending time with friends and family.
