Rhode Island Resource Recovery will hold an Eco-Depot hazardous waste disposal day at the Narragansett Beach North Pavilion, 77 Boston Neck Road, from 8 am until noon on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Resource Recovery no longer schedules these events in Charlestown so this is a great opportunity to get rid of stuff like Antifreeze, Batteries (Rechargeable & Long-lasting), Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) Bulbs, Fluorescent Light Tubes, Motor Oil (Less than 10 Gallons), Motor Oil Filters, Paint, and Sharps/Needles that are not convenient to dispose of safely. (Motor Oil and filters can be dropped off at the Charlestown Collection Center.)
Appointments are required for Eco-Depot, to make sure there isn't a wait, so register in advance here.
If you can't make it to the April 22 collection, future ones in the area are July 8 at the Westerly DPW on Larry Hirsch Lane and September 30 at the Richmond DPW on Buttonwoods Rd.
