Arborvitae Tree Sale Benefits Charlestown Land Trust

Greenwood Growers, at 242G Laurel Lane, West Kingston will be selling arborvitae to benefit the Charlestown Land Trust on May 21 and 22 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Greenwood Growers has graciously offered to donate $10 from the sale of the $25, 3-gallon Green Giant Arborvitae (Thuja standishii x plicata ‘Green Giant’) to the Charlestown Land Trust (CLT)!

AT CHECKOUT, BE SURE TO MENTION YOU ARE THERE ON BEHALF OF THE CHARLESTOWN LAND TRUST FUNDRAISER!

The Greens propagate and grow this particularly deer-resistant variety from their own stock. These trees are native to the West coast, where they are known as “Giant West Coast Cedars”. The Green Giant arborvitae is a beautiful evergreen that will grow rapidly but can be pruned to the height desired. Its natural pyramidal to conical form boasts dense, rich green foliage that darkens or bronzes slightly in the winter. It will grow in light from full sun to shade and in all kinds of soils.

The Greens specialize in growing evergreens not just for their beauty, but also because of their year-round ability to trap carbon dioxide from the air and produce oxygen, basically converting carbon to chlorophyll. Anyone can reduce their carbon footprint while beautifying their yard! All sales are final. Check or cash. Feel free to call for a weekday appointment! 401-639-9329.
