What: Information regarding November 8th Ballot Question 4 on Marijuana Business in Charlestown
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 7 pm, the Council will discuss Town agenda item: Reports A. Report and discussion on the Ballot Question Regarding the Vote on Whether or Not to Allow Businesses Involved in the Cultivation, Manufacture, Laboratory Testing, and Retail Sale of Cannabis in the Town of Charlestown
In case you missed it, on May 25th, 2022, The Rhode Island Cannabis Act (click the link to read) was signed into law, making Rhode Island the 19th state to legalize the recreational sale and use of marijuana.
In Charlestown the Town Council voted to have the question placed on the ballot.

Council President Deb Carney placed the item on Tuesday's Council meeting agenda and invited Matthew Santacroce, Interim Deputy Director Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, to answer any questions the Council or the public may have.
