The following hot topics are on the agenda for the January 13th Town Council meeting (7 pm at Town Hall). If you cannot attend and would like your voice to be heard, then you can email the Town Clerk at ARWeinreich@charlestownri.org and request your email be forwarded to the Town Council.
Town-Wide Survey Request for Proposals (RFPs) are in and will be discussed.
Three RFPs were received from companies interested in conducting the survey and will be discussed. Not all proposals ensure everyone's voice will be heard. Click here to see all three proposals.
Potential State Legislation to ensure public access to beaches.
Representatives Robert Craven & Blake Filippi will be at the meeting to discuss this important issue. The Westerly Sun published an article, on January 13, about this agenda item.
Funding for surveying Town owned properties on Charlestown Beach Road
The Town owns several parcels by the beach. Our land should be clearly marked.
