March 25 Town Council Meeting Preview

The Charlestown Town Council will hold their second March meeting on Monday, the 25th.

The regular Council meeting will begin at 7 pm in the Council Chambers. Here are some of the topics that will be of interest:

  • Peter Slom, selected at the last meeting to fill the Council vacancy caused by the passing of Grace Klinger, will take the oath of office.

  • The Council will have another update and discussion about resurfacing options for Charlestown Beach Road from the Town Beach Parking Lot to the Charlestown Breachway. There continues to be public discussion stemming from Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) standards for beachfront roads and the heavy traffic demands on this road from the Breachway camping and recreation area. A memo from Public Works Director Alan Arsenault may be viewed on page 148 of the agenda packet here.

  • The Council will announce the opening for the position of Town Moderator, caused by the sudden passing of Charlie Beck.
