The Charlestown Town Council is having their first meeting of May on Monday, May 8 starting at 7:00 pm.

The Council will have their last consideration of the 2023-24 budget, including the possibility of making changes, before deciding to submit it to the Voters at the Financial Town Referendum on June 5, 2023.
The Council will hold the official Public Hearings of Ordinance #401 for Cannabis Retail Sales (the proposed ordinance followed by comments from the Town Planner starts at the link) and Ordinance #402 for Property Tax Classification (to conform with new State law).
The Council will have a discussion about drafting restrictions on public use of cannabis products. A draft ordinance for discussion starts here.
As usual, public attendance in person in town hall is allowed. The session will be offered as a live stream to view through WebEx as described in the agenda. People watching online will not be able to comment or ask questions. The video of the session should be available for viewing at your leisure sometime on Tuesday on the meetings page.
