More Public Meetings to be Recorded

Charlestown's Town Council voted, at the January 8 meeting, to live stream and record additional board and committee meetings.

As reported by The Westerly Sun on January 26, the town has been recording the Town Council, Planning Commission, and the Zoning Board of Review. It will soon use the IQM2 system to, additionally, record and archive meetings of the Budget Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Wastewater Management Commission, the Charter Revision Advisory Board and the Ordinance Review Committee.

Town Council President Deb Carney said “The more meetings we have on video, the more open and transparent government will be. People can watch any of the meetings at their leisure and hear exactly what was happening.”
