Share in the pow wow celebration

The Narragansett Indian Tribe will be celebrating its 344th recorded annual August meeting on Saturday and Sunday August 10 and 11.

Chief Sachem Anthony Dean Stanton urges all of Rhode Island to join the Tribe in celebration and share the traditional food, signing, and dancing. The Grand Entry will begin at 1 pm on Saturday and 2 pm on Sunday.

The Church Board invites all to share in services at the Tribe's historic church. Sunday services will be held at 9:30 am and 11 am.

All activities will be held on the Narragansett Reservation with parking and shuttle buses at Old Mill Road and South County Trail (at the Tribal office with overflow at Charlestown's town hall).

Gates open at 10 am both days. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children. Guests may bring lawn chairs for seating. Dogs and alcoholic beverages are not allowed during the event.
